Do GTA 6 Codes Disable Trophies?
Read this first if you're hunting the platinum. In GTA 5 a single code disabled trophies for that session; a similar rule is expected in GTA 6.
Quick answer: The GTA 6 rule is not announced. In GTA 5, entering a code blocked trophies and achievements for that session; loading a clean save fixed it.
What we know
- In GTA 5 no trophies or achievements could be earned in a cheated session
- Code effects did not carry into saves; reloading reset them
- Trophies already earned were never removed
Still unknown
- GTA 6's trophy list
- Whether codes leave a permanent 'cheated save' flag
Common questions
I entered a code, did I lose my trophies?
No, earned trophies stay. You just can't earn new ones in that session.
How do I re-enable trophies?
In GTA 5, load a save made before using codes.
